Being Honest and Listening to Yourself

I have to be honest about something here on the blog.  If you have read some of my other posts, you know that I started my third round of Whole 30 back at the end of August.  I was super excited about doing a third round because I had been letting a few too many things slip in my healthy eating habits and I felt like I needed a good reset.  I have completed two other rounds of Whole 30 before and have really loved the program.  So I was really excited and definitely ready to begin another round. September Whole 30!

As I wrote in Getting Ready for a September Whole 30, I originally planned on starting a September Whole 30 on Tuesday Sept 6, but our Labor Day weekend plans have changed so I decided to actually start it yesterday, Monday.  I was originally going to wait to begin the Whole 30 after the weekend since we were going to be out of town.  But since plans have changed and we will be in town I will have better control of my meals and plus I am just really excited to do my 3rd round of Whole 30. What I Ate Wednesday

Yearly Dermatologist Visit

I recently had my yearly full body skin check with my dermatologist. Superman went for his the same day because I make him go for a yearly check up as well! I love my dermatologist. I think she does a very thorough job checking for suspicious looking spots. She checks head (love her checking my scalp since it feels like she is playing with my hair!) to toe and in spots that you just can’t check yourself. Continue reading...

My Personal Healthy Living Guidelines

I love reading and learning about healthy living, nutrition, and fitness.  I have for a long, long time.  My love for fitness probably began during my early teen years.  I can remember working out with my mom to Jane Fonda videos.  I also loved the Buns of Steel videos and was crazy for step aerobics when it came out.  My eating back then was not so good.  I am not comfortable going into details, but I had eating issues that I am not proud of.  I also had very low self-esteem in high school which contributed to some eating issues.  But luckily, things got better during my senior year of high-school (that’s when I met and fell in love with my hubby and I know he had something to do with this!
